Tonight was a cool enough night that we thought we would make a fire. Guiliana was so fascinated with it that I felt some pictures were in order because she was so stinking cute just watching it. They speak for themselves...
SHE JUST STARRED AT IT
I THINK SHE MIGHT THINK FIRE IS FUNNY
THIS PICTURE MADE ME REALIZE HOW FAST SHE IS GROWING UP!

Thanksgiving 2008... its in the bag!!
First of all... Happy Thanksgiving! I finally have a few minutes alone as all of my company has left and Guiliana is fast asleep.
We hosted our first Thanksgiving this year and I have to say everything turned out great! I think the day started off well when we woke up to the rain. I can't remember a Thanksgiving were it was actually NOT HOT!! I prepared the Turkey the last night so all I had to do was put in the oven this morning, make a side or two, and a pie. I assigned some dishes to the other family who came. But my mother-in-law and I pretty much took care of everything else. The food was fantastic and as always I had a great day with my family. Its amazing what ONE year can do... last year at this time I was pregnant and still scared from the miscarriage I had two months prior to getting pregnant with Guiliana. I still had those icky thoughts that anything could still happen (that's what happens when you work for an OB/GYN office, you hear way too many stories and see too many sad things) but, I stayed positive and now I have the most beautiful baby girl in the world. I finally have the family that I have always wanted. I may not not have my mom in my life and my dad lives in Florida but, I have an amazing husband and the best in-laws. I am so thankful today that I have the life that I do! I feel so loved! ... and super glad that I didn't screw up or dry out the Turkey!!! GOBBLE GOBBLE! LOL!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
THE TORTORA TURKEY (uncooked of course)
...AND WE ARE DONE! YUMMY
IN THE MORNING... what a face!
STARRING AT HER DADDY :)
AWE... HER FIRST THANKSGIVING
SOMETHING I SAID MUST HAVE BEEN FUNNY!
WHY SUCH A STERN FACE?
NOW WE ARE BEING SILLY!
WHAT A SILLY FAMILY!
HER NEW THING IS PULLING ON MY EAR TO TRY AND GET MY EARRINGS
JUST TRYING TO STAND...
MAYBE I'LL JUST SIT INSTEAD LOL!
IT WAS FINALLY NICE ENOUGH FOR A FIRE
Oh and Brooklyn also got to participate in Thanksgiving. She ate turkey and green beans and she loved it!!!

Correction...
Regarding the post from Guiliana's ear infection I posted her weight incorrectly. It is actually 20.2 lbs not 22.2. I mean I know that she is on the chubby side but lets not get carried away!! Just thought I would let ya all know... :)
What is left for me now?
So, on top of everything yesterday I get food poisoning! WHAT THE HECK! Many of you might know that throughout my pregnancy I would not eat chicken as it just disgusted me. And then when I was about 6 months pregnant that whole thing came out where they were really looking into the way the cows were being treated at the slaughter houses and I was so emotional that I gave up red meat. Then I decided that I did't need to eat pork, ham, or anything else of that nature. BUT, I did decide to eat turkey. I have to say this whole "healthier" way of eating has helped in losing ALL of the baby weight plus almost 30 more pounds so I am pretty happy with that.
Well, yesterday after Guiliana's doctors appointment (which is across from Desert Ridge) I decided that I wanted a turkey burger (and Fat Burger has one, but what was I thinking!) I knew going in that it might end up like this but I eat a quarter of it and threw it out. But I ate enough for it to completely ruin my life last night!! Throwing up is the worst!! I didn't even throw up when I was pregnant. SO, I'm thinking what the heck is left? I can still eat fish. I don't think this ruined me for Turkey this Thanksgiving, lets hope not as this will be our first year hosting it. I think I just have to stay away from Turkey burgers or just make them myself. WHAT A YUCKY NIGHT!

It was an ear infection...
This is the very first time since she was born 4/3/08 that my daughter has been sick, so on that note, I think that we are pretty lucky that this is our first round. So, Guiliana has had a stomach bug all week and thanks to my friend Debra (who worked for a pediatrician) mentioned that it might be her ears. So, we went to the doctor this morning and sure enough, there is one starting in her right ear. Now I am hoping that this is not the start to a long strand of ear infections as her Daddy was the king of them when he was a baby. He had so many that he became immune to several of the treatments!! So, not only is she on antibiotics, but she is on 24 hrs of pedialite. She really does seem to enjoy the fruit flavored one, so that's a plus. She was so thirsty she drank about 35oz from 3pm till just about 20 min ago. Oh, and she weighed in today at 22.2lbs (which kinda sucks because we have to buy a new car seat... the one we have only goes up to 22lbs!) Anyways, my little Guiliana is fast asleep and its been a long day as Guiliana only wanted Mommy today and wanted to constantly be held (but I have to admit... I loved all the snuggling)

Spongebob Squarepants and the Stomach Bug?
My poor Guiliana is home today with what could be a bit of a stomach bug or an overdue reaction to the sweet potatoes that I let her try, not sure which one yet. It turns out that for the last 2 months Guiliana's favorite cartoon is Spongebob Squarepants. She will sit through the whole 1/2 hr cartoon and stay interested. Well, since its a "sick day" I thought we needed some Spongebob!
Does this look like a girl with an upset tummy?
If you look closely you can see one of her bottom teeth.
Apparently something was very funny!

Last couple of weeks...
So, Guiliana turned 7 months old on Nov 3rd. For some reason I had a very hard time with her turning 7 months old!. I think its because she is just becoming so independant. She has now been eating the "meat foods" for over a week now and loves them. She wants to feed herself which has made feeding her a challenge. She is eating dry cereal, pinwheels, and biter biscuits (when brooklyn isn't trying to steal them) and having a good time. She is a chatterbox (in the only way that she knows how, and i wonder where she got that from). Anyways, thats just a little update on my little Guiliana. There will be alot more to come as we have several busy weekends coming up. Here are some pictures from the last 2 weeks:
Here is what happens when daddy gives the bath!

Guiliana's very first Halloween!
Last night was Guiliana's very first Halloween. She dressed up as a NY Giants Cheerleader. Greg and I chose this costume for 3 reasons (1) they are Greg's FAVORITE football team (2) they won the Super Bowl last season, AND Greg was on the field with the Giants when they won and got to run onto the field during the celebration (thanks to working NFL security last year) and (3) it was such an easy costume for a almost 7 month old to sit in the stroller with. She seemed to not mind the costume either, nor did she mind mommy putting that pony tail in her hair, she only tried to touch it once. Plus, yesterday was the first time I was able to put shoes on her. I finally found a pair to go on her extremely chubby feet!
Her halloween started in the morning....
Guiliana wore her Halloween stuff and Mommy dressed as a flower child.
She is such a morning person! LOL!
She loved her pumpkin!

Rudy and my homemade costume.
Okay mom, I'm a little tired but I am gonna let you take some pictures.
Here is a close up of my face for ya!
Mommy and Guiliana getting snuggly!
Hey! did you put a ponytail in my hair?
I know you did mom!
Okay, so I say "trick or treat" and people put candy into my pumpkin, right?
How about I just chew on it instead?
Okay bella, we gotta do this trick or treating thing...okay pal?
Will someone please give us a push?
Daddy and Guiliana with Eric and Bella getting candy.
Mommy we got candy!
Okay I think I am all done! I am pooped!
Cute Mommy Graphics and Layouts
And then Guiliana did some playing when we got home.
