Every week her walking gets better

This video was taken yesterday at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She just recently started walking even more. Taking off on her own and falling down, getting back up, and continuing walking. I could watch her do this all day!!

Father's Day Weekend 2009

Greg's Father's day started yesterday. We went over to his parents house for breakfast, Blueberry pancakes, bacon, and fruit. Guiliana gave daddy the gifts that she made him at school and Greg got a chuckle out of them. Later we let Daddy take a nap before we were off to Desert Ridge to meet the Hoover family so the girls could play in the water fountains. The mom's and dad's chatted while the girls played. We all had some smoothies... the boys had "Ragin-Bull" which of course has Redbull in it and the mom's got something fruity, while the girls split a rice crispy treat. Then back to more playing in the water. I couldn't keep Guiliana out of the fountains!! She loved it!! Later on, Grandpa made his famous ribs. Daddy very much enjoyed his dinner. I made Grandpa's favorite for desert... BROWNIES!! Guiliana got some good playing time in her sandbox and before you knew it our day was over.
This morning was an early morning as usual with our little munchkin alarm clock!! Guiliana gave daddy his wallet that she bought him that he soooo desperately needed. A special breakfast followed and now I am currently writing this as Daddy is asleep on his recliner. Guess he is enjoying his father's day huh?? Later I am making his favorite... Sausage and Peppers.
I just wanted to add a Special Happy Father's day to 2 of the dads in my life. My dad and father-in-law. They are both very special too me and I just think the world of them both. I don't know where I would be without either one of them. I thank you both for taking such good care of both me and little Guiliana. I also want to thank Greg for being a great Daddy. He really tries his best even though Guiliana always wants Mommy. I know for sure that I couldn't do this alone!! Guiliana told me this morning that she thinks she has the best daddy and the best 2 Grandpa's in the entire world! We love you guys!!

Her walking is getting a bit better...

Here we are a week later and her walking is getting better and better as the weeks go on. Here is a video from yesterday at Desert Ridge where Guiliana was playing the fountains. Before this video was taken I was sitting at the table just watching her stand and hold onto the chair. Next thing I know she just lets go and takes off!! I was so proud of her!! So, I got out the camera and put her back in the same starting place and she did it again but even better the second time. Please don't mind the end of the video when I backed into a Palm tree!! LOL!! There will be actual photos of the day on the next post.

Just for Dana

Our cousin Dana that is only 5 years old and lives in New Jersey LOVES doggies! She talks about our puppy all the time and would love to meet her. Well, since they live so far away and always asks for her, we take videos of her running around because that makes her laugh. Here are 2 videos we took for you Dana and we hope you and the family visit us soon!

Gift for Grandma

I wanted to share my latest creation. Today is my mother-in-laws birthday and I wanted to make her something very special. I had her bedroom in mind when choosing the colors and after looking at it, she said that is exactly where she is going to put it. Her room is very Victorian, so when I saw this paper, I had to use it. I really wish I could do these things for a living as it makes me so truly happy!

GUILIANA IS WALKING!!

Today was the day that Guiliana decided it was time to become a big girl and start stepping!! She has taken 3 steps once in awhile when she wasn't paying attention but today was a whole different story!! She LOVES to be walking because every time she does it... she GIGGLES!! So proud of our baby girl!!

Grandma's Birthday

Grandma Fran's birthday isn't till Monday the 15th, but we celebrated it today by spending the day with her today. We swam, played in the sandbox, and Greg and I made her dinner. She requested my famous Greek pasta, so that's what we did. We are saving her gift for Monday (I will post pics after I give it to her)

Michally's 29th Birthday!

Eric put a wonderful dinner party together for Michally at Macayos and invited about 15 of her closest friends. He even arranged for her Dad and Rhonda to come in from San Diego as a surprise! It was fantastic spending time with our bestest pals.

Guiliana and Bella's Swim Playdate

Last weekend Michally and I got the girls together for some swimming. They swam, chowed down, and played in the sandbox. The girls had a great time!

Later that night, Guiliana, Grandma, and I went to Desert Ridge to do a bit of shopping. We stopped by the water fountains, listened to music and had some Starbucks. Guiliana loved playing in the water fountains. We definitely have to take her back when she is in her bathing suit! LOL

Guiliana's Post-op appt

I am a REALLY late in posting this but wanted to update everyone on how Guiliana's tubes are working for her. Thursday, June 4th, was her appointment, which was almost 3 weeks after her surgery. I have been a little concerned as to the amount of fluid coming out of her ears but thought that its better that it was coming out than her getting another infection. Dr. Milligan said that Guiliana has a "slight" infection and she needed to have her ears vacuumed out, as she has a tiny bit of fluid sitting in the canal, and she would be starting on an antibiotic ear drop for 10-14 days. Hearing this was extremely discouraging. But, he said after removing the fluid and doing the drops we should be in good shape. We have another check-up a week from Tuesday.
While waiting for the Doctor I took some pictures of her sitting on the little chair. Thought she looked like such a big girl!

I love her in Pigtails!

Guiliana's hair has finally gotten long enough for piggy tails! I tried over the weekend for Bella's Birthday party and thought they were the cutest! So I gave it another shot this morning when getting her ready for the day. To get her to sit still I have to ask her to brush her teeth which we do now twice a day since it seems to be her new favorite thing. We have almost 11 teeth now, so its important!
Think she is so stinkin cute in her pigtails that I had to take a picture this morning.
