Bella's 1st Birthday Pool Party

Yesterday our little pal Bella, celebrated her 1st birthday with a super fun pool party. There was lots of yummy food, Guiliana's favorite was the watermelon! All of Guiliana's friends were there including Shelby. They all enjoyed swimming and especially the cake! Bella did a great job during her party. It was a awesome party and we really had a great time!
There were a few set backs though... I got drilled in the head with a water balloon, skinned both my knee and the side of my ankle, and lil G got her first bee sting. She is a trooper and came out of it okay thanks to Jenn getting the stinger out. There was no allergic reaction and so far no swelling or redness around the sting. But, we didn't let that ruin our time though:)
We had a blast and Guiliana seemed to enjoy the pool and hanging out with her pal.
Oh... and I finally got pig-tails in Gules hair! Can't stand how cute she looks with them. It took me forever as she does not like to sit still!!

THE POOL WAS A BIT COLD TO HER AT FIRST

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

We had a very busy and fun filled weekend! It started for Guiliana and I early Saturday afternoon when we had a playdate with Shelby and Valerie. We were invited to their house for lunch and swimming. Bill made grilled cheese for the kids, which Guiliana thought was the best ever!! (and then Bill added... well isn't this her first?? and yes it was!! LOL but I'm still sure it was the best as she ate the whole thing!)Valerie had cut up some watermelon too and the kids LOVED it. Bill made the adults Chicken Caesar Salads (mine was minus the chicken) he even grilled the lettuce!! They topped off the meal with a margarita. The kids played together for a bit until it was time for swimming. The kids made it about 45 min before they started getting restless. The problem was, they wanted to be "let go" of and so it made it impossible after awhile to hold onto them. We had a great time! We look fwd to more playdates (maybe next time on our end so the kids can play in the blow-up pool and they can move around more) and maybe a girls night for just the "moms".

Then... Saturday night, Guiliana had to run an errand at Fashion Square Mall and at the last minute Debra and her son Kendel, who is 6, ended up going with us. They have a very cute playland there that they kids seemed to really like. Guiliana thought Kendel was hysterical and they were little buddies the whole night. The problem with Guiliana these days is that, she wants to stand all the time and wants you to help her walk. I really feel like her tubes have helped with her sense of balance and coordination and she has really improved in just the last week! All the pictures I took at the mall and before at our house are of her standing. I think she will be walking in the next few weeks :)

Taking steps while holding on!

Cute playland!

Sunday... Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa's. Godfather Chris even stopped by to do a little swimming with us.
